The name "Takshashila" holds deep historical and cultural significance, which is why it is often chosen for educational institutions.

Takshashila Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kherda has adequate infrastructure and is supported by up-to-date technical know-how, well-equipped labs and also, over and above, has a well-qualified faculty on its rolls. It is committed to the development of the student’s cause in academics and personality development initiatives, including long-term serious attempts to ensure vibrant and active participation by its pupils in social activities like Meditation Camps, Awareness Drives for Family Planning, Employment for Rural Youth, Diagnostic Camps and Computer education for the poor. Guidance Centre for competitive examinations and schools for Physical Education and meditation are also run by the Trust. This enables them to develop crucial skills in patient counseling, medication management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
